Character Strengths & Maker Education Workshop

Character strengths are the parts of ourselves that we live by, they are what separates us from the person next to us. Each of us has a unique combination of character strengths and so do our students. Character Strengths include things like growth mindset, curiosity, grit, social intelligence, teamwork and more.

Character Strengths and Maker Education go hand-in-hand. When students understand their own character strengths and how to apply that to their projects they will be able to produce their best work.

In this workshop, teachers will identify their character strengths and tools to help students identify theirs. Teachers will determine which character strengths are important in their classroom then devise ways to help each student shine by incorporating character strength vocabulary into their everyday lessons.

  • Teachers will learn about tools to identify character strengths.
  • Teachers will practice using character strength terminology.
  • Teachers will create a project using their strongest character strength.
